Philosophy of Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary School

Nativity BVM School is a Pre-K through eighth grade Catholic school staffed by talented and enthusiastic lay teachers who are dedicated to the education of the whole child…heart, mind, and soul. We commit ourselves to the Catholic expression of religious education that is based in scripture and Catholic tradition.

Nativity affords each student the opportunity to realize his/her potential through a sequential development of basic skills needed for a successful and meaningful life. Our small class size enables each student to experience success in a rich learning environment. Providing an atmosphere of mutual respect and concern for one another strengthens the students’ social growth and development.

In collaboration with the parents, our common goal is to guide the students towards the discovery of a meaningful, self-actualizing, and responsible life, as well as an acceptance of others as representatives of Christ on earth. As we work together we grow in faith, friendship, trust, cooperation, and love.

Our Vision….
Nativity B.V.M. is a Catholic School:

  • Where students thrive in a life giving community centered in Christ
  • Where Gospel values and a quality education empower students to move forward with a sense of pride, accomplishment and a rich heritage, and
  • Where the doors to the future open with the hope that all become a living expression of His Love.

CARES is our before and after school child-care program with a goal to provide students physical exercise, quiet time, and a homework/study period. The CARES Program is available to children in PreK-4 through grade 6. The Program starts at 7:00 A.M (until the start of school at 8:00) and again at 3:05 P.M. until 6.00 P.M.

Academic Excellence
